Los obispos son los encargados de seguir la labor evangelizadora, por tanto Gaudí reunió cuatro símbolos en los Pináculos que representan a estos: la mitra, la cruz, el báculo y el anillo. El pináculo incorpora la inicial del Apóstol San Simón.
